Aqua Surf is to be contemporary & chic in design & execution. The conceptual approach was to target the surfing demographic as well as appeal to anyone looking for a luxurious holiday.

This thought process led to the hotel being split into two types of structures; a permanent structure exuding a more contemporary feel & a detached temporary timber structure based on the European beach sheds giving the project it’s chic element.

The design consists of 16 rooms. As an island nation with golden beaches lapped by the waves of the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka has all the natural attributes needed to become a surfing hotspot. This potential has been largely untapped, however – until now! The hotel group is also in the process of creating a new Surf School at “Lazy Left” in Midigama, the spiritual home of Sri Lankan surfing on the island’s south coast.
